How to adjust your ring
The Ruby Drop Heart Ring is open-band and designed to be gently adjusted at home. Hold the ring with both hands and use your thumbs to ease the band inward (to tighten) or outward (to loosen). Always work in small, gradual movements — do not bend the band back and forth repeatedly, as this can weaken the metal over time.
Fit range
Sterling silver: this ring is available in UK sizes K–R and the open band can be fine-tuned within that range once it is on your finger.
Solid gold: because 9ct gold is less flexible, the ring is pre-adjusted to your size before dispatch. Please send your ring size at the time of ordering so it arrives ready to wear.
Check your fit before ordering (sterling silver)
If you are unsure of your size, try the paper-ring method: cut a thin strip of paper, wrap it snugly around the base of the finger you plan to wear the ring on, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length in millimetres. Compare this to a standard UK ring-size chart to find your closest size. For solid gold orders, this is the measurement to send at checkout.
Tips for larger knuckles
If your knuckle is noticeably wider than the base of your finger, size to your knuckle so the ring passes over comfortably, then ease the band inward once it is in place. The open-band design means you can fine-tune the fit on the finger rather than forcing it over the knuckle.
When to get in touch
Contact the shop if: your solid gold ring arrives and the pre-adjusted size does not feel right; the band feels too stiff to adjust safely; or you have an unusually wide knuckle-to-base ratio and would like advice before ordering.
